About this show

Nearing the end of his life, Max Silverman is determined to re-open his Coney Island hot dog stand, closed for decades, in the middle of Winter. In the freezing dawn, Arthur watches sunrises and dreams of life, all before work. Max's daughter Shirley, now Nancy, searches for meaning with the aid of her psychiatrist. The pursuit of this neon utopia raises questions of identity, culture, and existence itself on the very long walk off a very short pier. Written by Tony Award winning author of A Thousand Clowns and I'm Not Rappaport.
