The Dead

James Joyce’s The Dead is set in Dublin in 1907 and takes place during the annual Morkan sisters’ twelfth night gathering. As the evening progresses, what starts as a festive holiday celebration becomes a night for truth-telling, discovered secrets and passing shades of people and eras.
