About This Show

Theatre Arlington presents the revival of this heartwarming Christmas story of a rural family’s love and devotion for their father who is lost in a snowstorm on Christmas Eve. The Homecoming, written by Christopher Sergel, was the basis for The Waltons. The production centers around the remembrances of Clay-Boy Spencer (John-Boy Walton on the TV series), who is sent out to find his father in the nearby town and surrounding mountains. His journey of love and hope introduces characters such as Birdshot (the town simpleton), the people of the local Missionary church, the sheriff, the Staples sisters, and a wide assortment of other townsfolk. B.J. Cleveland directs.
