Bus Stop

William Inge’s Bus Stop tells the story of a busload of weary travelers who must hole up at a roadside diner until morning due to a howling snowstorm. A nightclub singer, named Cherie, has been “kidnapped” by a young cowboy who is ready to sling her over his shoulder and carry her, kicking and screaming, down the aisle to get married.
