2014 New Works Festival

Mainstage, Staged Readings and PUP Fest.

An outgrowth of our founding membership in the critically acclaimed National New Play Network, KDT is delighted to announce its 16th Annual Celebration of the newest and most exciting voices and visions of the American Theater. This year’s Festival will feature the fully-produced winner of our new play competition and six staged readings of plays chosen from hundreds of submissions from across the glob, as well as our annual PUP (Playwrights Under Progress) Fest, an afternoon of short plays written and performed by some of the Metroplex’s finest youth talent, co-produced with Junior Players. A one-of-a-kind experience packed with world premiere plays, lively discussions, rockin’ parties and some of DFW’s best actors and directors, KDT’s New Works Festival has something in it for everyone.
