NPI Follies is a delightful musical revue filled with tunes from classic Broadway musicals, including Chicago, Guys & Dolls, Brigadoon, Damn Yankees, Anything Goes, The Pirates of Penzance, A Fiddler on the Roof, and Cabaret. The cast of over 70 singers and dancers includes residents from towns all along the shoreline. The show is directed by Pat Souney of Guilford, who has worked with many area community and educational theatre groups. Jim Teti of New Haven is the Musical Director.
The host for the evening will be radio personality John Saville. John hosts the Sunday afternoon program on DRC-FM 102.9, and has been nominated as Billboard Magazine’s Radio Personality of the Year several times. Also featured will be several guests – NPI stars who are returning to recreate the memorable roles they originated in these shows. These former shoreline residents are returning from as far away as Virginia, Georgia and Florida to say “Happy Birthday” to the Nutmeg Players!
