Originally written as a pop-cantata for a children’s choir, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat has become one of America’s favorite shows. Taken from the last 13 chapters in the book of Genesis, the musical tells the story of Joseph’s rise to power in Egypt after being sold into slavery by his brothers. A story of betrayal and hardship, prophecy and forgiveness, Joseph’s saga prefaces the story of Moses leading the Israelites out of Egypt through the Red Sea.
