About This Show

The Westfield Group Children’s Theatre Series presents Miss Nelson is Missing for children ages three through eight.

for one performance on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at 11:00am in the Allen Theatre.

The spit-ball throwing, paper-airplane-flying, rude students of Room 207 make life hard for their sweet and endlessly patient teacher Miss Nelson. So, it comes as no surprise that one day Miss Nelson does not come to school and the students are faced with the most feared substitute ever…Miss Viola Swamp. Soon the students of Room 207 realize how much they miss kind, sweet Miss Nelson, and long for her immediate return. The Omaha Theater Company’s version of this wild, wacky new musical production is fun for the whole family!

The message of this play is one that will be appreciated by parents and teachers everywhere: be respectful of others and recognize the difference between right and wrong. Written by Harry Allard and James Marshall, the original Miss Nelson book was a runner-up for a 1977 Edgar Allan Poe Award and won the Colorado Children’s Book Award in 1985.

Miss Nelson is Missing will perform on Saturday, November 15, 2003 at 11:00 am in the Allen Theatre. Tickets are just $12 each and are available at the Playhouse Square Box Office, all Tickets.com outlets or online at
