About This Show

Aguijón Theatre Company performs Yerma as part of the Goodman’s Latino Theater Festival.

Maternal desire drives a barren woman to desperation in Yerma, the final play in Federico Garcia Lorca’s tragic trilogy, which also includes The House of Bernarda Alba and Blood Wedding. Chicago’s own award-winning Spanish language theater, Aguijon, returns to the Goodman to complete the trilogy with this exciting performance featuring a unique collaboration with local Latino dance company, Luna Negra.
