Up to 20 performers including seven African American sketch comedy troupes, will be showcased in classic WORDS scenes, improv, rap battles, solo performances, original poetry, music and an all female line up on scheduled nights. Artists and performance groups include: HBO Def Poet, Kevin Coval, International songstress award winner, Ugochi, sketch comedy by Straight & Nappy, kevINda, Pimprov, with original music by Chicago emcee Jeff Baraka and Motep.
