About This Show

The Great Society is the second installment in Wallace and Wolfe’s Early and Often trilogy. Set in 1964 Chicago, a young idealistic priest goes toe-to-toe with ward boss John Flannery over – of all things – who supplies the folding chairs for the parish Christmas bazaar. These are tumultuous times, as the Northsiders grapple with such issues as the 1964 Civil Rights Act, Vatican II and the never-ending rivalry between their beloved Cubbies and White Sox.

There are no performances on November 27, December 25 and Jan 1. There is an additional performance on Friday, November 28 at 3:30pm and Saturday, December 27 at 2:30pm.
