About This Show

In The End of the Tour, a frantic phone call forces urban pioneer Andrew to return home to Dixon, Ill. As he takes his lover on a guided tour through his childhood haunts, Andrew relives the fear and sorrow that so impacted his life, and still affect his ability to be intimate. Andrew’s sometimes comic “tour” includes stops to the nursing home where his sister is visiting his mom, plus a look inside the home of Andrew’s brother-in-law, whose best friend has unusual views on life, love and when to call the vet. Balancing humor and pain, Joel Drake Johnson introduces a family whose emotional relationships may be frayed by regret, but who are still strong enough to look beyond their disappointment and have the courage to move on.
For preview performances, Saturday shows are at 8 PM only.
