Sita Ram

Sita Ram features the music and musicianship of Grammy nominated Jai Uttal, the soaring voices of the Chicago Children’s Choir and the tradition and beauty of the Natya Dance Theatre with Lookingglass’ signature storytelling.

Hanuman the monkey warrior, must fight to save his beloved friends Sita and Rama from the ten-headed demon king Ravana. Sita Ram is adapted from the sacred Hindi epic, The Ramayana. This production reunites Lookingglass with the Chicago Children’s Choir whose collaboration on Brundibar was hailed by the Chicago Tribune as one of the most memorable shows of 2000.
