About This Show

Beedee is the perfect Wal-Mart employee. She’s loyal, committed, and dedicated to preserving the memory of Sam Walton, that benevolent boss who always answered the phone and never got an unlisted number. When she’s picked to represent her store at the annual meeting, she’s ready to sing her song of praise – but the hills are piling up, her Visa’s maxed out, and she and her daughter are still living off food stamps. A smart, funny and fierce look at sweat shops, globalization, union busting and the disappearance of the living wage. Directed by Goodman Resident Artistic Associate Henry Godinez. Written by Kia Corthron.
