Chicago Shakespeare Theater presents Romeo and Juliet, William Shakespeare and the world’s best-known love story. Staged by Tony Award-nominated director Mark Lamos, the play is performed in Chicago Shakespeare’s Courtyard Theater.

The most famous love story of all time and a staple of high school curriculums, Romeo and Juliet tells the tragic story of two young lovers who stop at nothing to be together despite the intense rivalry of their families. This production marks the first staging of the play-in its explosive entirety-at Chicago Shakespeare Theater.
