About This Show

Living the Dream is an excruciatingly honest comedy about struggling artists in the new century. The bad plays, awkward auditions, abusive agents, dead-end jobs where they’re abused by strangers, their own clumsiness, naïveté and doubt, and the toll their lifestyle takes on their relationships with friends, family, and lovers. The cast shares their most embarrassing and crushing moments through short scenes, monologues, and even songs. This is a show for anyone who’s ever pursued a dream and come up short. This is not a self-aggrandizing tragedy or a needy melodrama though, because reality is far more ridiculous than anything these actors could invent.
