About This Show

The Easy Street Players present Neil Simon’s Laughter on the 23rd Floor, a riotous comedy that takes a semi-autobiographical look into Simon’s years as a writer on Sid Caesar’s Your Show of Shows in the 1950’s. The wacky characters based on Simon’s co-writers (such as Woody Allen, Carl Reiner, and Mel Brooks) navigate 1953 and its McCarthyism politics, Cold War fears and popularization of the television medium. Aubrey Brown directs.
