Las Mil y Una Noches

Comediants performs the North American premiere of Las Mil y Una Noches, presented in Spanish with some English translations. Part of the Goodman’s Latino Theater Festival.

Comediants is a collective of actors, musicians and artists that creates a theater of provocation bound in the simplicity of the myth or tale, juxtaposed with the complexity of modern life. A sensual and provocative exploration, Los Mil y una Noches/1001 Nights is set in a demolished library in Baghdad. Comediants uses stories from The Arabian Nights to create a unique theatrical piece that uses imagination and fantasy to expose the atrocities of destruction and fanaticism.
