About This Show

Beloved songs and delightful patter promise to keep audiences rolling in the aisles, when they’re not humming along to the greatest nostalgic pop hits of the ’50s, when Metropolis in Arlington Heights presents its own revival of the always popular musical Forever Plaid.

The musical tells the tale of a 1950s male singing group killed on their way to their first big gig, who miraculously return to Earth 25 years later to fulfill their dreams of fame and fortune. Forever Plaid features a book by Stuart Ross, with music and lyrics by various artists. This one-act, G-rated revue boasts more than 20 of the greatest hits from the ’50s, including “Catch A Falling Star,” “Three Coins in the Fountain,” “Love is a Many-Splendored Thing,” and “Magic Moments.”
