Fool for Love

Reverie Theatre Company presents Sam Shepard’s 1983 play Fool for Love, a harrowing clash between long-time lovers who find themselves bound to each other in inexplicable ways. In a run-down motel room at the edge of the Mojave Desert, Eddie works to convince May to run away with him to Wyoming. But having forced herself to move on after Eddie left her before, how can May trust him again? Tied up within the complications of a dizzying multi-layered history, Eddie and May grasp for freedom (with or without each other) in this harrowing, hilarious exploration of love, fate, and family. Chris Pomeroy directs.
