Club Illyria

The New Directors Series of The Theatre School of DePaul University presents free performances of Club Illyria, a musical adaptation of Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. The audience steps inside a velvet rope to find the Athenaeum Studio Three transformed into a Studio 54-esque nightclub of the 1980s. Featuring live music by the band Limozeen, the audience is invited into a world of gender-bending, mistaken identity and romance. The hilarious comedy unfolds as Illyria’s rockers, “celebutantes” and guests, discover their true colors.
