Present and Future. When the old miser’s eyes are opened to a potential
future which connects his own death to that of Tiny Tim, the sickly child of
his poor clerk, Bob Cratchit, Scrooge magically transforms from
stone-hearted business man to a magnanimous ambassador of holiday cheer.
