Collaboraction will throw its most spectacular annual fundraiser party to date with the 10th annual Beggars’ Banquet on October 15, 2011. As Collaboraction’s largest annual fundraising event of the year, Beggars’ Banquet showcases the creative ingenuity and unique spectacle for which the acclaimed company is known and helps support Collaboraction’s mission to be Wicker Park’s artistic hub for the performing arts. The funds raised are crucial to support Collaboraction’s general operations which provide the foundation for the company’s year-long programming, including the annual SKETCHBOOK Festival and main stage season of contemporary plays.
Chaired by Founding Company Member Sandra Delgado, this lush, decadent evening of live music, theatrical interludes and interactive artistry will contain countless elements of surprise around every corner! Tickets are $100 and include a lavish feast for the senses with food, cocktails, dancing, immersive performances, DJs spinning, a preview of the opening scene of “Dark Play,” Collaboraction’s second show of the season (coming in Jan. 2012) and other assorted entertainment, including both silent and live auctions. A special matinee performance of Collaboraction’s current production “Be a Good Little Widow” will precede the festivities at 5 p.m.
