Since 2010, East Charlotte native, Promise the Gahd has been working to solidify his name in the music world. What started out as a getaway or sense of therapy has recently turned in to a true passion, with hopes of being a full time career.

Promise began making music solely as a producer and worked with plenty of up and coming artist from Charlotte. His production credits range from artists such as VvG, Elevator Jay, Erick Lottary, Royaltee, Shome and the list goes on.

After years of producing he changed his focus towards recording his own songs as an artist and has since released 5 solo projects and 3 group projects with his group LeftLane, which consists of himself, DChizDidIt and Hood Hozay.

His voice alone controls the setting and his lyrics keeps you locked in to find out what he may say next. He calls himself “The Gahd” simply because there is nothing he can’t do when it comes to being a creative. 

His song “Run It Up Part 2” featuring Lillian Blanche has recently been licensed by NBA2K21 as well as the NBA.
