Mothers Day Comedy Show and Fair

About the Show

The old saying “man may work from sun to sun, but woman’s work is never done” has never been truer. One Pleasant Hill mother finds motherhood full of jokes. “Clean comedy is about the only aspect of clean I respect,” asserts Veronica Dangerfield, mother of three. “There is nothing funnier than being an overtime domestic slave and a diva simultaneously. Work and glamor is easy, I just keep my standards very, very low.”

This comedy show highlights four of the Bay Area’s funniest comics in a tribute to being or having a mother. Performing comics include Bernard, Jovelyn Richards, Veronica Dangerfield, and Aundre the Wonder Woman.

Comedy for Community produces comedy shows to support desperately underfunded nonprofit organizations and comedians. This event benefits the Bay Area Crisis Nursery, a center that provides care for up to two months for children from families in crisis.
