The Empty Bed is Los Angeles-based playwright Sharon Yablon’s dream-like and darkly humorous drama about two lost souls trying to connect.
In an old house in the Hollywood Hills, June Pickering has been hired to care for a sick and elderly woman. When the woman’s son, Jeremy, arrives, he and June begin a poignant dance, searching for the steps that will lead to intimacy and love, while his mother lies dying upstairs.
Concurrent with The Empty Bed, a revolving group show of contemporary Los Angeles artists (including Michael Hsiung, Alex Schaefer, Brad Cooper, Airom Bleicher, and Treiops Treyfid, who also curates) is on display in the lobby.
