About This Show

Hyenas is based on an historical event, the death sentence of twenty-two-year-old Théodore-Frédéric Benoît for the double murder of his male lover and his own mother. Guilty or innocent? Theodore-Frederic takes us on a labrynthine trip through the throes of emotion, through the deeply felt and intensely lived, that makes us doubt our own certainties and destroys our logic. “Answers are dangerous,” he says. The play is a cry. The same cry that hyenas howl in the desert.
