New York City
Succubae, princesses, and clowns collide in an entertaining feast for the senses. Delight in the wonder that unfolds as these two companies pull out all the stops to bring you Fables Du Theatre, an intoxicating adaptation of three classic French fables for a modern world. With a touch of Jean de la Fontaine and a pinch of Hermann Hesse, the cast weaves a magical night of sex, death, and clowns.
Unknown Theater is thrilled to conclude its third season the way it began, with a wild collaboration with one of Los Angeles’ most respected companies. Fables du Theatre marks the return of Immanence Theatre Artists to the Los Angeles theater landscape. Written by Brenda Varda (founding company member of Unknown Theater) in collaboration with Marva Lewis (artistic director of Immanence Theatre Artists), this new play performs at Unknown Theater. Returning after a two show hiatus, Chris Covics directs the fourteen member ensemble of Unknown and Immanence.
