Underneath the Lintel

A librarian went into work and retrieved a book from the return slot–a book 123 years overdue. In his earnest quest to track down this literary scoff-law, the librarian–who has never before left his native town of Hoofddorp, Holland–tears off to London, China, Australia, Germany and the US. He eats strange foods, breaks rules, sees Les Miserables in several languages and uses up a lifetime’s worth of vacation days, learning how to live in the process.
