About This Show

Ten Unknowns is an incisive comedy which explores the relationship between art and commerce, trend and talent. Painter Malcolm Ralphelson shuns the world of commercial art. Once a promising artist – one of the celebrated “10 unknowns”- he finds his position obscured with the onslaught of Abstract Expressionism. No longer the darling of the New York art scene, Malcolm retreated to self-imposed exile in Mexico. Twenty eight year later, he is visited by an ambitious young art dealer who decides the time is right for a retrospective. Prodded by his assistant, Malcolm must finally come to terms with his own inner demons. Evan Yionoulis directs.
