Romeo and Juliet

New Repertory Theatre opens its inaugural season in the Arsenal Center for the Arts with Romeo and Juliet, directed by Rick Lombardo. The production features a powerhouse cast of Boston and New York actors. Starring Lucas Hall and Jennifer Lafleur in the title roles, the cast includes such familiar New Rep faces as Rachel Harker, Steven Barkhimer, Bobbie Steinbach, Diego Arciniegas, and Adam Zahler.

The design team plans a lavish production, reminiscent of the splendor of fifteenth-century Europe, while also evoking the destruction of modern warfare. Fight director Ted Hewlett will stage major swordfights, something that would not have been possible in New Rep’s old theatre.

September 22 at 7:30 PM is “Out at New Rep” night, for members of the gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgendered community.

September 23 at 8:00 PM, “35 and Under night,” with special discounts for younger theatre patrons.
