About This Show

Mud, by nine time Obie Award winning playwright, Maria Irene Fornes, features Mae, a woman struggling to find herself–her voice–in a small town in the late 1920s. Mae, her cantankerous brother Lloyd, and a “learned” townsman, Henry, sift through a seemingly hollow existence, working to find value in their own lives. Mud is 17 breakneck scenes of raw, offensive, and honest content, but at its heart, Mud is a journey of self-discovery and the limits of compassion.
