Jane Birkin

During July of 2020, Jane Birkin finished recording, “Oh! Pardon, Tu Dormais…” (“Oh! Sorry, You Were Sleeping…”) Quite an event! Now in 2022, she is taking her album on tour and will perform it in its entirety for audiences at the Shubert Theatre in Boston! Since having reached the pinnacle of a huge career, during a lifetime that has been romantic and tragic at the same time, at the crossroads of all forms of art and artists, through her extreme sensitivity, Jane has always been a muse, a performer, but had rarely made herself known as an author. But Etienne Daho, convinced by her talent, finally managed to have her record her own texts, based on the play which she wrote 20 years ago. That’s how the idea for this album took shape, and how Etienne began to accompany Jane’s compositions, with the certainty of her talent as an author, matching hers with just as much of his own power and intensity.
