Red Herring

Roudebush, it is 1952, and the daughter of Commie-hunting Senator Joe McCarthy is in love with a young physicist passing H-bomb secrets to the Russians; a female Boston detective is in love with the G-man hunting the spy; and a Boston Jewish apartment building super will kill for the love of her sweet Russian herring fisherman who couriers the secrets to Soviet agents to save his wife back in Russia. Velveeta Cheese and herring figure prominently in this absolutely hilarious (and very warm) Cold War love story.
