About This Show

Part Sam Shepard, part X Files, Bug is the story of Peter, a Gulf War vet who believes the government has implanted bugs in his body as part of a widespread conspiracy. He seeks refuge in an Oklahoma motel room where Agnes, a woman on the run from her abusive ex-con husband, takes him in. Now she sees the bugs too. The play is a whacked-out post-modern comedy about a world of paranoia, government plots, and secret experiments that builds to a take-no-prisoners ending that is bizarre, hysterical and unforgettable. The New England premiere of this work by award-winning playwright Tracy Letts (Killer Joe) is presented by Boston Theatre Works in association with Boston Playwrights’ Theatre.
