About This Show

The Boston Theater Marathon returns for a 5th year! The Elliot Norton Award-winning festival presents 45 new plays by 48 Boston-area playwrights, performed by 45 theatre companies twice in 10 hours.

In its first four years, the Boston Theater Marathon played to standing-room-only crowds for all 10 hours of 10-minute plays by Boston’s best playwrights — the famous, the great, the unknown, and the soon-to-be-successful. This year promises to be even better. In addition to Boston’s best playwrights, you will see Boston’s best actors and directors in this celebration involving the entire Boston theatre community.

The plays begin at 12 noon, Sunday, April 13, 2003, and are performed on two stages continuously until 10 PM. Then, at 10:30 PM, celebrate the day with a cash bar, food, raffle drawings, and music.

An all-day pass is available for a single price and entitles you to move in and and out of the theatre all day long. Audience members also enjoy discounts at neighboring restaurants and retail stores.
