BACA Cabaret Celebration ’06

About This Show

The Boston Association of Cabaret Artists (BACA) presents its four day cabaret festival which marks the 11th Annual “March is Cabaret Month.” The festival offers the audience an opportunity to see over twenty performers, reflecting a range of styles that unite under the common umbrella of “cabaret.” The festival kicks off on Thursday evening, March 23rd with two shows beginning at 7:30 PM. The festival continues on Friday evening with three shows with some of Boston’s best known and beloved cabaret perfomers. The GALA BENEFIT on Saturday, March 25th features the world premiere of the original show “Cookin’ Up a Cabaret,” a new musical revue written and directed by the award-winning director Bill Castellino. All proceeds are to benefit BACA’s efforts to sponsor workshops, master classes, open mics and other opportunities for the cabaret community. The events on Sunday begin with a Cabaret Performance Master Class directed by Bill Castellino. The BACA Performer’s Showcase on Sunday afternoon features three hours of high-energy entertainment with some of the best cabaret artists in the BACA community. The celebration comes to a close on Sunday evening with a performance by one of Boston’s most beloved cabaret performers, John O’Neil.
