Invulnerable Nothings presents Howard Brenton’s Bloody Poetry in rep with (Un)Staged Readings from Lord Byron’s Cain, Percy Shelley’s Prometheus Unbound, and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein.
Bloody Poetry is a biographical drama concerning the wild historical dramas of Percy Shelley, Mary Shelley, Lord Byron, and Claire Clairmont from the summers of 1816-22. This highly interactive staging of Brenton’s play is designed for small audiences in nontraditional theater spaces and matched to an experimental reading series featuring original texts from the Shelleys and Byron.
