About This Show

Alabama Shakespeare Festival presents Kenneth Cavander’s translation of Euripides’ The Trojan Women.

Devastation and Loss. Hope and Faith. These are found in the aftermath of war in any age. The women of a defeated Troy – widowed, ravaged and destined to become slaves to the Athenians – struggle to survive, searching within themselves for the strength to make sense out of the senseless remains of war.
