About This Show

7 Stages will present performance artist Tim Miller in Glory Box. Miller’s autobiographical tale bubbles over with sweetness, righteousness and a bit of political lobbying. The show, whose title is the Austrialian term for “Hope Chest,” represents Miller’s own heart and his private place for memories, hopes and dreams while focusing on gay people’s extraordinary potential for love and inability to be married. Throughout, Miller recounts his memories of youthful frolic and fears while highlighting the fear he faces every day: that his Australian husband Alistair will be deported by a U.S. government that is unsympathetically unwilling to recognize gay marriages.
