Village Theatre Announces 2008-2009 Season logo
The 2008-2009 Village Theatre season will be comprised of five shows that explore the perils of young love and the thrill of great stories. The season will include two new musical productions which were developed through the Village Theatre's Village Originals program. Each production will run at both the Francis J. Gaudette Theatre in Issaquah, and the Everett Performing Arts Center in Everett.

The season will start with Saint Heaven, a new musical written by Martin Casella with music and lyrics by Keith Gordon. This production will play September 17-October 26 in Issaquah, and October 31-November 23 in Everett. Next will be Beauty and the Beast with music by Alan Menken, lyrics by Howard Ashman and Tim Rice, and book by Linda Woolverton. This production will bring the popular Disney story to Issaquah, November 12-January 4, and it will play in Everett, January 9-February 1.

The Importance of Being Earnest by Oscar Wilde will open in Issaquah, January 21-March 1, and it will move to Everett, March 6-29. The new musical Stunt Girl, with music by David Friedman and lyrics by Peter Kellogg, will play in Issaquah March 18-April 26, and move to Everett May 1-24. The final production of the season will be Show Boat, written by Oscar Hammerstein with music by Jerome Kern. This musical classic will open in Issaquah May 13-July 3, and continue in Everett July 10-August 2.
