Myrna Conn to Star in ArtsWest’s The Rise and Fall of Little Voice

ArtsWest will present Jim Cartwright’s The Rise and Fall of Little Voice, March 7-31, starring 18 year-old actress Myra Conn. Artistic Director Christopher Zinovitch will direct.

In the piece, Mari Hoff is desperate for the elixir that will make her feel alive. And she’s not the only one. Her teenage daughter LV is a shut-in who lives by the light of the records left by her father.

Myrna Conn, an 18-year-old performer who came up throughArtsWest’s Musical Education program, will play the demanding title role. The cast will also feature Peggy Gannon as Mari Hoff. Patricia Haines-Ainsworth, Jesse Smith, Daniel Reaume, and Travis Tingvall will round out the cast.

The design team will include by Stacey Derek (costume design), Jill Beasley (set and prop design), Josh Randall (lighting design), and Johanna Melamed (sound design. Musical direction will be by Kim Dare.
