Acclaimed San Francisco company Capacitator will bring its latest synthesis of movement, physical devices, and interactive media, biome, to Seattle Rep’s Leo K Theater, January 9-11.

Part dance, part projected glimpses of remote rainforests, and part canopy science, this show grew from weeks spent on-location collaborating with canopy tree scientists, deep in the Monteverde Cloud Forest of Costa Rica.

To create the show, director, choreographer, and designer Jodi Lomask worked with world-renowned canopy tree ecologist and author Dr. Nalini Nadkarni, as well as set designer Adam Puglielli; fashion designers Sako & Verrieres; video designer Nate Pagel; composer Michael Zbyszyñski; violinist Julia Ogrydziak; filmmakers Daniel Zox and Amy Harrison; and Capacitor’s cast of dancers, including Lizelle Gouws, Cari Bellinghausen, Jocelynn Rudig, Oscar Trujillo, Ross Hollenkamp, and Justin Flores.
