The New American Shakespeare Tavern Announces 2011-2012 Season logo
The New American Shakespeare Tavern has announced its 2011-2012 season. The company will begin the year with repertory productions of the Bard's earliest comedies, The Two Gentlemen of Verona, The Taming of the Shrew, and The Comedy of Errors, to be offered in August and September.

These three plays are part of the theater's initiative to produce all of Shakespeare's comic plays in the order in which they were written. The season will also include a production of Love's Labour's Lost, featuring Jeff McKerley, in November, as well as repertory productions of The Merchant of Venice and A Midsummer Night's Dream in January; The Merry Wives of Windsor in March; Much Ado About Nothing in April; As You Like It in June; and Twelfth Night in July.

Additionally, the company will produce two tragedies Macbeth (October) and Romeo and Juliet (February), and during the holidays, the theater will produce Charles Dickens' A Christmas Carol.
