Mandy Bruno, Burke Moses, et al. Set for Theater of the Stars’ The Sound of Music

Mandy Bruno and Burke Moses will star in Theater of the Stars’ production of Rodgers and Hammersten’s The Sound of Music, to run August 24-29 at the Fox Theatre in Atlanta.

The company will also feature Jeanne Lehman (Mother Abbess), Ed Dixon (Max Detweiler), and Teri Dale Hansen (Baroness Elsa Schraeder).

Bruno, who will portray Maria, played Marina Cooper on CBS’ The Guiding Light, for which she received a Daytime Emmy Award nomination. Her stage credits include Les Miserables, Gypsy, Beauty and the Beast, and Green Gables.

Moses, who will play Captain von Trapp, has been seen on Broadway in such productions as Guys and Dolls, Beauty and the Beast, Kiss Me, Kate, and The Frogs.
