Sheryl Lee Ralph — who received a Tony nomination for originating the role of Deena in the Broadway production of Dreamgirls — will join cast members from the new touring production of that musical for a special One Night Only benefit cabaret, at the Marines’ Memorial Theatre, on Monday, September 20 at 7:30pm.

The benefit will raise funds for The Richmond/Ermet AIDS Foundation and Broadway Cares/Equity Fights AIDS. The cast will perform song selections of their own choice in an evening of upbeat, high-energy music, dance, and comedy.

Among the other offerings at the Marines Memorial Theatre in September are Irish comedian Dylan Moran with special guest Barry Murphy (September 11); the San Francisco Mime Troupe in a benefit performance of POSIBILIDAD, or Death of the Worker (September 17); and comedian Kate Clinton in Lady Ha Ha (September 25).
