Magic Theatre has announced the lineup for The Virgin Play Series, which will include readings of new scripts by Lloyd Suh and Theresa Rebeck. The five staged readings will be held in cafés and theaters throughout San Francisco on Mondays, March 1-31.

The series will begin with a reading of Zohar Tirosh-Polk’s Six on March 1 at The Commonwealth Club. Rebeck’s What We’re Up Against will be offered on March 8 at Space Gallery. Jesus in India by Suh will be read at Café Royale on March 15. The series will be rounded out with Ryan Purcell’s Marinheiro (March 22) and Javier Malpica’s Our Dad Is in Atlantis, translated by Jorge Ignacio Cortinas (March 31), both of which will be offered at the Magic Theatre.

The free readings will feature equity actors and professional directors in script-in-hand readings. A conversation with the playwright, director, actors and audience will follow each reading.
