Tales of the City Extends Through July 31

The American Conservatory Theater’s world premiere production of Armistead Maupin’s Tales of the City has extended its run through July 31. Jason Moore directs the production, which features choreography by Larry Keigwin.

Featuring a book by Jeff Whitty and a score by Jake Shears and John Garden of the Scissor Sisters, the show is based on Maupin’s popular series of newspaper columns and novels.

The production features Mary Birdsong as Mona Ramsey, Manoel Felciano as Norman Neal Williams, Judy Kaye as Anna Madrigal, Patrick Lane as Brian Hawkins, Richard Poe as Edgar Halcyon, Wesley Taylor as Michael “Mouse” Tolliver, and Betsy Wolfe as Mary Ann Singleton.

Rounding out the cast are Josh Breckenridge as Jon Fielding, Diane J. Findlay as Mother Mucca, Alex Hsu as Lionel, Kathleen Monteleone as DeDe Halcyon-Day, and Andrew Samonsky as Beauchamp Day. The ensemble includes Keith A. Bearden, Kristoffer Cusick, Kimberly Jensen, Stuart Marland, Pamela Myers, Julie Reiber, and Josh Walden.
