Tony Award-winner Judy Kaye, opera impresario Lotfi Mansouri, and opera star Frederica von Stade will participate in the Koret Visiting Artist Series at American Conservatory Theater (ACT) event entitled “The Inner ‘I’: How Artists See Themselves,” on the ACT stage on Monday, February 23 at 5:30 pm.

ACT Artistic Director Carey Perloff will moderate the conversation, which will focus on the different ways artists view themselves and how these self-images affect their work. “The Inner ‘I'” is presented in conjunction with A.C.T.’s production of Stephen Temperley’s Souvenir: A Fantasia on the Life of Florence Foster Jenkins, starring Kaye, and telling the story of Florence Foster Jenkins, a New York socialite and tone-deaf diva who thought she was a great soprano.

Kaye has played the role of Jenkins in numerous productions, including on Broadway. She won the Tony Award for her performance as Carlotta in The Phantom of the Opera. Her many other notable stage credits include the Broadway production of Mamma Mia! and the national tour of Sweeney Todd.
