James Earl Jones, Bernadette Peters, George Takei, et al. to Appear With San Francisco Symphony

Tony Award winners James Earl Jones and Bernadette Peters will be among the guest artists appearing with the San Francisco Symphony during its summer season, June 25-July 24.

The season opens with a special concert featuring the ensemble Pink Martin (June 25-26), followed by a guest appearance by Tony Award winner Bernadette Peters (June 27). Other highlights of the season include appearances by pianist Gabriela Montero for a program of work by Leonard Bernstein, George Gershwin, and others (July 2); actor George Takei, who will narrate “Star Trek Through the Years” (July 4), pianist Jeremy Denk (July 9), trumpeter Chris Botti (July 11-12), the classic Bugs Bunny on Broadway (July 17), and Tony winner James Earl Jones who perform Aaron Copland’s Lincoln Portrait (July 24).
